Our TMS Team has many fans of the   US National Park System - which has become a highly recommended way to recharge. Often it's where some of our most innovative ideas emerge. If you've not had the chance, perhaps consider a Fall trip. Favorites from our team include   Joshua Tree in CA, Rocky Mountain in CO, Canyonlands in UT, and Shenandoah Valley in VA.

Attending NCSLI in Portland?

The Modal Shop's Calibration Team will be onsite at NCSLI to meet you in person - please stop by to see us! Our team can assist you with any of your vibration, pressure and acoustic calibration related needs. Key show facts are below: 
  • Where - NCSLI-18 is held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon. The Tutorial and Technical Program run from Saturday, 25-August to Thursday, 30-August.
  • When - The Exhibition is open Monday, 27-August through Wednesday, 29-August. Join us from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday for the welcome reception in the exhibit hall. Opening Hours on Tuesday and Wednesday are 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The exhibit hall will be open to the public on Wednesday, 29-August from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
  • Who - Julie Dwyer, Mike Dillon, and Patrick Timmons from our Calibration Team will be on hand in Booth 402. Feel free to drop by with calibration questions and to find out about new products. 
  • Tech Session - As part of the Tutorial Program, Patrick Timmons will be speaking on Monday, 27-August from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm about Vibration and Shock Sensor Theory and Calibration in a half-day tutorial on calibration theory, standards, and methodology for dynamic sensors as well as explanations of different sensor types and the operational theories behind them.
Tip of the Month
  ISO 17025 Proficiency Testing

Moving into Quarter 4 of this year, remember that any ISO 17025-accredited providers should have already conducted annual proficiency testing, or should be scheduling it soon.
